Motorola just released the much anticipated Droid Smartphone for Verizon. This was supposed to be the phone that would kill the iPhone. After using the phone for a mere one day during this Motorola Droid review, I have to give a resounding two thumbs up to this awesome piece of technology. It very simply blows the iPhone away.
The first thing that I noticed was while taking the phone out of the package. This is not some lightweight, weak, dainty phone. The Droid is wrapped in metal almost entirely, and is rock solid. It just feels good in your hand. Being the thinnest QWERTY slider phone ever, I figured it would be frail. Not even close.
When I powered the phone up, a blazing red eye greeted me, accompanied by the phone announcing its presence by saying, “Droid!” in a robotic voice. Awesome touch. While conducting this Droid review, I was drawn to the capacitive screen, which has the best display with the sharpest, most vivid colors I have ever seen on a phone. The aps pre-loaded, like Facebook, move quickly to and from, and everything seems to flow very well. Good interface.
A short tap on the search button, and Google search comes up, but what was really cool was touching and holding over the search button brings up Google’s voice search. I was very happy with the effectiveness; I had several people try it with different voices and it responded very well.
I didn’t like the arrangement of some keys, it seems I was hitting search when I didn’t want to. Also, there is no button to begin or end a call. You have to access it from a different screen. Not hard, just bothersome.

If there is an application or software in the smart phone announcing that It can do everything, a smart phone will say that it can do anything which is impossible to phone. Now the faceoff of the smart phones is becoming hotter and hotter, what is your final choice?
It is seemed that the iPhone is an artwork only to be collected, but the camera which is only with 2MP is a little useless. Android platform is supported by the strong Google, but it does not have the App Store and thousands of absorbing applications. The RIM BlackBerry is always hot, however, it looks a little ugly. Do you like to use the Windows Mobile Phone when you have seen the Microsoft windows mark for many years?
So the first problem is not without smart phone, but you don’t know which one should be purchased.
The battle between Droid and iPhone is very interesting. Based on the Android platform, Droid is very strong. But it will never defeat iPhone in a short time because the latter has become the super star in the area of smart phone. If the Droid wants to defeat the iPhone, it has to take a long-term strategy, but not a fancy commercial. The market share of electronic products is decided by the use habit of users. For example, the Mac is so beautiful that it is seemed as the Venus goddess, and the spending on ads is about ten times than Microsoft Windows. But it is known that there is never a flood of people rushing towards Mac.

The “Droid” is actually a phone that has a software platform called Android which is so designed and flexible enough to do many high technology activities on the phone. It can do web services, provide entertainment, do e-mail and social networking services. It is an overall operating system that a mobile phone can have. Regardless of any phone brand, the Android phone is one gadget that is an effective communication tool in the truest sense of the word.
Unlike other platforms, the Android phone offers more excitement due to its continued improvements on its innovations and features. Its developers have a lot of boundless access to the platform thereby creating an opportunity to expand applications that you may have not really thought of becoming a reality. This means most users would be able to choose and experience phone applications to improve texting and messaging, e-mail, web-surfing, music and calling functions of the phone. You can just imagine your digital life is dependent on an Android phone, and rightly so because it is so designed to take such responsibility.
The first Android phone manufactured by a major company is the Motorola Droid phone. This is a smart Droid phone that is fully equipped with good features such as GPS navigation, touch-sensitive home screen, a keyboard slider, media player, a camera with auto focus and video recording capabilities and a lot more impressive features that can really make you want to have one. It is now presently being marketed all over America and sales response has been positive.
