android rentalsWelcome to Android Rentals.

The original website was put up years ago in anticipation of robots becoming as popular as automobiles, with at least one android service robot in each home in the industrialized world. Motorola Droid Review – To Buy Or Not to Buy?

By Patrick ONeill

Motorola just released the much anticipated Droid Smartphone for Verizon. This was supposed to be the phone that would kill the iPhone. After using the phone for a mere one day during this Motorola Droid review, I have to give a resounding two thumbs up to this awesome piece of technology. It very simply blows the iPhone away.

The first thing that I noticed was while taking the phone out of the package. This is not some lightweight, weak, dainty phone. The Droid is wrapped in metal almost entirely, and is rock solid. It just feels good in your hand. Being the thinnest QWERTY slider phone ever, I figured it would be frail. Not even close.

When I powered the phone up, a blazing red eye greeted me, accompanied by the phone announcing its presence by saying, “Droid!” in a robotic voice. Awesome touch. While conducting this Droid review, I was drawn to the capacitive screen, which has the best display with the sharpest, most vivid colors I have ever seen on a phone. The aps pre-loaded, like Facebook, move quickly to and from, and everything seems to flow very well. Good interface.

A short tap on the search button, and Google search comes up, but what was really cool was touching and holding over the search button brings up Google’s voice search. I was very happy with the effectiveness; I had several people try it with different voices and it responded very well.

I didn’t like the arrangement of some keys, it seems I was hitting search when I didn’t want to. Also, there is no button to begin or end a call. You have to access it from a different screen. Not hard, just bothersome.
